Rock art is the earliest form of artistic communication in the human journey. In Odisha, the origin of rock art can be traced to 4,000 years before the present. The region of western Odisha shares the same geographical and geological features as Central India. The region was a cradle of rock art. Gudahandi is a mountain of Satpura range is a 4,000-year-old rock art site in Kalahandi. Surrounded by spectacular mountains and jaw-dropping waterfalls, trekking to Gudahandi is an adventure by itself.
