We went on a weekend trip from Bhubaneswar to Aranya resort located amid the Jungles of Lulung (Simlipal). The nearest city is Baripada which is 25 km away. To reach the resort you'll need to cross a 4 km bumpy road starting from the Pithabata gate which adds more adventure to your trip.
We visited the Sitakund Waterfall. Depending on your schedule you can visit nearby waterfalls like Devkund waterfall, Kadali Daraha, Joranda Waterfall, and Barehipani Waterfall.
You can also go on the jungle safari to Simlipal National Park, the tiger reserve at Odisha. But in the rainy season, the safari remains closed.
The best part was: "There was no mobile network". It will digitally detox you and you'll enjoy time with your family and friends. But the resort has a landline connection that enables you to make any call.
You can choose from a family room or a double-bedded room. It costs around Rs 5000 for two people per night. The restaurant will serve you an afternoon buffet at Rs 300/500 (V/Non-V) and dinner at Rs 500/800 (V/Non-V) with free breakfast. No ala carte is available.
Let's catch up!
